Foo Fighters Spending 2017 Recording New Album – Hiatus Over #FooFightersNewAlbum

Foo Fighters Will Spend the Year Recording New Album

foo-fighters-sonic-highway-world-tour-at-the-forum-on-september-21-2015Well this is good news. After the band announced an indefinite hiatus early last year fan, no doubt, let out a frustrating sigh. Even though Dave Grohl and the boys certainly deserved a break after being on the road for over three years at the end of 2015 and Grohl nursing a broken leg for the last few months of it.

Looks like they are rested and ready for more. The band was just added to the BottleRock Napa Valley festival for the Memorial Weekend and Dave Graham who works for the event told the NapaNapa Valley Register,“The Foo Fighters are in the studio all next year recording a new album.” So the band may only have that one show in North American in 2017 and multiple dates in Europe.

Grohl has said many times that he wanted the band to last as long as he did so this may not be a big surprise and they’re pretty successful. Their last album, ‘Sonic Highways’ debuted at #2 on Billboard magazine and has sold over half a million copies. In late 2014 the group also released an 8-part documentary which Grohl described as “a love letter to the history of American music”..with the boys writing a recording a different song in a different city each week. – by John Beaudin
