Get Ready For Sammy Hagar Singing The Eagles’ Hotel California With Don Felder
Get Ready To Hear Sammy Hagar Singing The Eagles’ Hotel California
The former Van Halen singer is having a blast on his TV’ show “Rock ’n’ Roll Road Trip.’ He told the Las Vegas Review Journal, “People tell me the most amazing secrets because I’m honest and not a journalist,” Hagar is going into the second season of the show and says, “We were increased to 12 shows for our second season. We’ve already filmed Toby Keith at his Oklahoma ranch and John Mellencamp’s riverside retreat in Indiana. But this is our first time filming home in Las Vegas. How could I not shoot with Don (Felder) and Styx when they came to the Strip? We also added Carrot Top.”
In a special episode that will be aired in late February or early March you will hear Hagar belting out “Hotel California.” The “I Can’t Drive 55” rockers said, “It’s the first time I’m ever sung ‘Hotel California’ in public, although it’s a song I know well and have sung all my life privately.”
The first season had Hagar hang with Tommy Lee of Motley Crue in Los Angeles, Alice Cooper in Phoenix as well as John Mayall and Melissa Etheridge.
This season will also feature Mick Fleetwood in Maui, Hager adds, “You can call it the rock-and-roll version of your show ‘Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous’, We film their cars, their kitchens, their cooking, all the stuff you used to do.
For the record Hagar earlier said that he wanted to mend fences with his old Van Halen friends which could have resulted in who knows what? He certainly didn’t want to do it for the money, something he has lots of. He has 10 restaurants and a tequila-and-rum business. A few years ago his net worth was at $120 Million. In comparison Eddie Van Halen’s is $85 Million.
Hagar will begin his 20-back-to-back tour in June. – by John Beaudin
