Is Journey Ready To Break Up? It Sure Looks Like The End Is Near

Just when you thought the drama in Journey couldn’t get any hotter come a another tweet from leader Neal Schon asking, “How would you feel if you found out the rest of the band wanted to tour without me? I’ve always been 100% JRNY and made the right choices.” Then he tweeted, “I will travel to new musical terrain that we never have and encompass everything,” Schon wrote on Twitter. “Hits are hits; we have a ton.” insinuating a new band or a new Journey. Then came a reminder that Schon probably owns the Journey name adding, “They will not tour with the Journey name. Trust me I’ve spent way too long building to give up the brand.” The tweets have since been erased by Schon.

The big line in the sand came just recently with keyboardist Jonathan Cain, bassist Ross Valory and singer Arnel Pineda visited the White house with Cain’s wife Paula White who happens to be Donald Trump’s spiritual advisor last week. The problem is many news out lets headlined the trip as “Journey visits the White House.”

After the visit Pineda tweeted, “Reminder, I don’t belong to any political group nor inclined to any religious sect. Not a single piece of my bone ambition such quest.

Since this all happened the fans seem to have a new found mission to get Steve Perry and Gregg Rolie back in the band. I’ve even had a few people telling me that Schon is talking to Perry. Is it true? – by John Beaudin
