It seems strange to say that of a band featuring Robert Fripp on Guitar and Tony Levin on Bass but we are talking four drummers! The band hasn’t toured the United States in three years and founder Robert Fripp says considering the current lineup, “King Crimson is “likely to be making a lot more noise than before.”

On his website the legendary guitarist said, “King Crimson’s 2017 touring will be mostly in the US, beginning in Seattle and down the West Coast during early June to July; continuing to the East Coast in the Autumn.” The full Itinerary will be released in the next few weeks.

So what about the band? Fripp calls this lineup a “Double Quartet Formation.” featuring, as expected long time band-mates Tony Levin on bass and Chapman Stick and saxophonist Mel Collins. Also singer and guitarist Jakko Jakszyk and four drummers, Bill Rieflin, Gavin Harrison, Pat Mastelotto and Jeremy Stacey. Stacey and Rieflin will also play keyboards on the tour.
