They’re Back! The Eagles Set To Perform With Fleetwood Mac At Classic West, East Festivals in July

That didn’t take long but I’m sure some fans are happy with The Eagles booking their first gig since the death of Glenn Frey in January 2016.

Anyone growing up in the 70’s probably had “Hotel California” Released December 8th, 1976 and Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” which came out of the gate on February 4, 1977. Two of the most played albums of 1977 and of all time. So even if you’re bitching about the Eagles going on without Frey these events will still sell out.

Last October there was that classic-rock mega-concert in Indio with Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, the Who, Neil Young and Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters. It was a big success so expect a lot more Festivals from here on end.

Irving Azoff who has handled the Eagles for a long time has confirmed the Festivals but so far we have no details. There will be many more acts on the bill.

So who will stand in for Frey? His son Deacon, Jackson Brown – who has done it before? He and Frey were room mates and they wrote “Take it Easy” the first Eagles Hit from 1972. Maybe his old pal Bob Seger who gave Frey his first big breaks by having him sing backup on 1969’s “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man.” – by John Beaudin
