Jerry Seinfeld Gets a New Partnership and Payday from Netflix

Here’s a guy who has made much from his laughs. First the streaming service will acquire his web series ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,’ That includes back seasons and 24 new ones to be released in late 2017. Also in the deal are two new stand-up specials from Seinfeld. One scripted and the other unscripted. The first will be released this year. It will probably be some stand-up stuff. Seinfeld’s last special was 1998’s ‘I’m Telling You For The Last Time.’ In 2012 he released the documentary “Comedian” about the other side of comedy – creating it.

The comedian launched ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’ in 2012 on Crackle. Larry David, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer are just a few of the past guests.

Chris Rock also inked a deal with Netflix last year for two new stand-up specials and Dave Chappelle will have three.
